Every year the Toronto Lieutenancy undertakes 3 or 4 special projects, that members should focus their prayers, and if able donate too.
Caritas Baby Hospital
Around 330,000 children under the age of 14 are living in the south of the West Bank, the area between Bethlehem and Hebron. If they get sick, the Caritas Baby Hospital in Bethlehem is the place to go. It is the only hospital in the West Bank that cares exclusively for children.
Up to 82 children can be treated in the inpatient wards of the Caritas Baby Hospital. Thanks to the intensive care unit established in 2013, the Caritas Baby Hospital is also well-equipped to deal with emergencies and patients in critical conditions
The Caritas Baby Hospital is acknowledged by the Palestinian authorities as a "teaching hospital" and medical students can specialize in pediatrics at the hospital. Moreover, the hospital also houses a CCE – Centre for Continuous Education. It offers further education courses for its staff and people from outside the hospital.

Bethlehem University annually enrolls more than 3,000 students – two-thirds of them women – in a broad array of undergraduate, graduate and professional diploma programs.
St. James Vicariate
The Association of Saint James was founded in 1955 as a Catholic association dedicated to developing Hebrew-speaking Catholic communities in the State of Israel. Saint James was the head of the Jerusalem community of believers in Jesus at the time of the apostles. A pious Jew, St. James worked to establish a community made up of Jews and non-Jews, united in their common faith in Jesus as the Messiah (see the Book of Acts, chapter 15).
The Association of Saint James constitutes an autonomous Vicariate within the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem. Today, Hebrew speaking communities are active in the six major Israeli cities: Jerusalem, Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Haifa, Beer Sheba, Tiberias and Nazareth. The Vicariate includes communities of Russian speaking faithful too. The priests and faithful of the Vicariate work closely with the Coordination of the Pastoral for Migrants in Israel, ensuring the pastoral and catechetical service of the large Roman Catholic migrant communities spread throughout the country.
